It is a superb example of the Swan 44 mkI, designed by German Frers. Based on the south coast of England, she took part in regattas and cruises in the Solent and the Channel. Sold to her second owner in 2002, she was refitted to make sailing with a reduced crew easier. She was notably fitted with a Harken furler, a B&G autopilot and a Lofrans electric windlass. Under this second owner, she took part in several regattas, including a few RORC races and various club regattas, before undertaking a 13-month cruise to the Canary Islands, the Caribbean, Panama, the Galapagos Islands, Chile, Cape Horn, Argentina, Brazil, the Azores, then back to the Solent. Sold to her third owner before me in the autumn of 2011, she was completely refurbished in Lymington. The work notably included a new professional white paint job on the hull (it was previously dark blue), replacement of the standing rigging, installation of new B&G instruments and new batteries, as well as various improvements to the electrical and plumbing systems, and much more. Vendu à son deuxième propriétaire en 2002, il a été réaménagé pour faciliter la navigation en équipage réduit. Il a notamment été équipé d'un enrouleur Harken, d'un pilote automatique B&G et d'un guindeau électrique Lofrans.
